As chance would have it one day Alan bought some accessories at the Apple store. The customer service person serving him was a 72 year old man. The service rep replied that he had worked construction all his life but that he had taken a free professional certification course at the library and that after taking the course he challenged the certification exam and was almost immediately hired after passing the exam because of his professional designation. He said that the course had taken him six weeks to complete.
